Take the N12 from Johannesburg and continue past the Middleburg Toll gate. Take the Belfast off ramp and continue driving toward Dullstroom and Lydenburg on R540. From Lydenburg follow the R36 through to Ohrigstad. Please do drive carefully as there are often cattle on the road and potholes. Drive through the Abel Erasmus pass and the Strydom tunnel. Continue on R527 towards Hoedspruit. Go through the town and at the 2nd four way stop turn left onto the R40 driving towards Phalaborwa. Continue for just over 20 kms. Bushriver Lodge is on the left hand side – tar road access down to the resort. Just follow sign boards. If you go over the Olifants River you have gone just too far!

 

Drive to Tzaneen and from Tzaneen take the R71 toward Gravelotte. From Gravelotte drive towards Mica on R526 , and at the T junction turn right towards Mica on R40. Drive past Mica and over the Olifants River. 1km from the river is a turnoff on the right hand side for Busriver Lodge.
