Accommodation

Accommodation in luxury units wich has fully equipped kitchen, private braai area, en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning. Bushriver offers a variety of luxury accommodation camps such as the Main Lodge, Riverside rondavel, Tented Camp or the cottage overlooking the reserve.

The various camps are well spaced for privacy. For bigger groups we have the main Lodge which can sleep up to 14 guests. We have 2 swimming pools that provide a chance to cool off during the hot summer days. Main pool is centrally situated and can be accessed by the whole camp, the other is for the private pleasures of the Hlatifula lodge.

 

Main Lodge - Hlatifula Camp  (only R 800 pr.room pr.night)

Main Lodge consists of 4 units. Each unit sleeps 3 to 4 people and has en suite bathrooms with a bath tub. Main lodge rooms have a private deck and overlooks the Olifants River. Rooms are spacious. The main lodge has a deck overlooking the Olifants River with braai facilities, bar, lounge, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and private pool.

Room 1: 4 people in 2 double beds.
Room 2: 4 people in 1 double and 2 single
Room 3: 3 people in 3 single beds.
Room 4: 3 people in 3 single beds.

At night the hippos leave the river to graze on the grass. During the day crocodile would laze about in the sun on the banks and rocks in the river. The call of the fish eagle would make you search the sky and tree tops. The occasional owl will also visit in the night as well as porcupine, warthog and jackal. Booking

 

Rondawel - Marula Camp  (only R 1.500 unit pr.night)

Marula camp accommodates 8 people. The rondawel consists of five Bedrooms 3 double and 2 single, 2 bathrooms with showers, fully equipped kitchen with lounge, dining area and braai facility.

At night the bush comes alive with sounds of various animals, even a lions roar can be heard in the distance. Hippo would come out and graze on the grass outside the Rondawel. During the day hippos and crocodile would lie on the banks and rocks of the river and soak up the sun. The call of the fish eagle would make you search the sky and tree tops. Booking

 

Kingfisher cottage  (only R 600 unit pr. night)

Kingfisher cottage accommodates two people in twin beds and consists of a fully equipped kitchen, bath room with bath tub and patio with private braai area. Your view is towards a water hole on the farm, with giraffe, zebra and various antelope. At night the wildlife sounds comes to life and you can view the various wild animals as they come to drink at the water hole a short distance from the cottage.

On regular occasions, jackal, warthog, porcupine and hippos that graze at night may be sighted from the comfort of the cottage. The occasional owl will visit or be heard. Booking
